GIUDITTA TURINI
GIUDITTA TURINI - TRAIL RUNNING AT THE HIGHEST LEVELS
Giuditta Turini, a strong young woman. Put her to the test — she’ll amaze you. The numbers say it all. In addition to being a two-time Italian trail running champion, she has a podium percentage of 99.9%. You read that right. In recent years, except for a 5th place at the Marathon du Mont Blanc, she’s always finished among the top three in every race she’s taken part in.
BIOGRAPHY
Born in 1989, originally from Ivrea but now living in Gressoney, she inherited her passion for the mountains from her father, Ioris, who took her with him on the Lyskamm traverse when she was just 13. Her passion for racing and competition, however, came later and blossomed in 2017 with her first win at Tot Dret (the 130 km route of Tor des Géants). A succession of victories and podiums followed, including in prestigious races like the Marathon du Mont Blanc, TDS, and many others.
While she earned her two Italian national titles and inclusion in the national trail running team on decidedly less technical routes (Ultra Trail Lago d’Orta and Porte di Pietra), she’s able to perform at her best on uneven terrain, exposed ridges, and steep descents. The more technical a race is, the more fun Giuditta has. She won a continental bronze with the national skyrunning team, but her big goal for the next year is the Trofeo Kima, the “queen of skyrunning races." Stay tuned!
