Robert Antonioli, born in 1990, is a member of the Italian national ski mountaineering team with a large number of victories to his name, from the world championships to the European championships and from the World Cup to Grande Course events. Born in Sondalo on December 23, 1990, he is unpretentious and intensely passionate about all aspects of the mountains, not only ski mountaineering but also fast climbing. Antonioli began ski mountaineering racing at a young age, winning medals and important titles in the Cadet category, and he continued to win when he transitioned to the higher categories, representing the colors of the Italian national team. When he entered the Centro Sportivo Esercito in Courmayeur, his career took off and he began achieving top-level results, including gold medals at the world championships in Claut in 2011 and Verbier in 2015, and individual, overall, and three sprint specialty victories in the World Cup. At the European championships he has also won three golds, in the individual vertical race, in the sprint and in the relay. In Grande Course races the athlete from Valtellina boasts a victory in the Pierra Menta, a victory in the Patrouille des Glaciers, two second places in the Tour du Rutor and Adamello Ski Raid, and third in the Trofeo Mezzalama.
