Technical performance, alpine DNA, and inclusion. Three pillars that unite Karpos and Fondazione Cortina in a cohesive team, to recount history and write the next chapters together on the most iconic trails in the world.
 
A homecoming. After a successful debut with the 2024 and 2025 Cortina Skimo Cup, the partnership is continuing through 2028 with the goal of enabling all mountain sports enthusiasts to revisit the places where winter sports history was written.
 
The Cortina 1956 and 2026 Winter Olympics established the Ampezzo Dolomites as a true cult destination for those who love the snow. Days of joy and athletic achievement, now long past, will be remembered at the height of summer thanks to Cortina 56-26. The route of the trail running event promoted by Fondazione Cortina will take participants directly past the main Olympic venues, from the Tofane to Passo Tre Croci to Fiames and Zuel.
 
Cortina 56-26 offers two levels of challenge, bringing together athletes, Olympic and Paralympic medalists, and casual runners, with the goal of growing the community of trail runners among the rocks and forests of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
 
We have new goals and new summits to reach together, celebrating the beauty and grandeur of the rocks that have shaped our bond with the mountains. We can’t wait to find out where this new journey will take us!
