The summit of Ojos del Salado – the world’s highest active volcano – represents a mountaineering goal the explorer has been pursuing for years. To tackle one of the most challenging environments on the planet, Daniele will have to adapt and accept the rules of the game. From acclimatising to altitudes he has never experienced before, to managing water scarcity, right through to maintaining complete self-control and managing his energy levels.
To overcome the challenges of the final stretch, he will have to draw on his recent past – the journey he has undertaken under new circumstances, step by step. From long-distance challenges to this new vertical dream.
