Born September 7, 1995, in Starnberg, in the heart of Bavaria, Tatjana grew up in a small village at the foot of the Alps. From an early age, she spent much of her time outdoors, especially in winter. It was on the snowy trails that the “winter child”, as she likes to describe herself when recalling her childhood, found her true outdoor calling. The first chapter in the blond German’s relationship with the mountains saw her competing in Alpine ski races in the junior categories, with the dream of one day becoming a professional athlete.

In her late teens, Tatjana transitioned to competitive cycling — first on the road and then on the track — where she participated in her first youth competitions. Her cycling career was sensational: In 2016, she nearly earned an Olympic spot as a reserve for the team pursuit at the Rio de Janeiro Games. She was European Under-23 track cycling champion (points race) in 2017 and a five-time German track cycling champion.

A turning point in Tatjana Paller’s sporting career came in 2020. The 24-year-old exchanged her love of speed for a love of the vertical world, while maintaining the common thread of endurance that has always characterized her athletic vocation. It was a return to her roots that culminated in her joining the German national ski mountaineering team (Deutscher Alpenverein) and participating in her first World Cup.

Her impressive list of achievements, after several seasons, confirms that this choice has been a rewarding one for our ambassador. Her 11 national titles and fourth place in the World Cup sprint standings (2025/26) have demonstrated her ability to quickly bridge the experience gap and make her mark on the biggest stages, such as when she won a prestigious bronze medal in the sprint at the 2025 world championships in Morgins, Switzerland. Tatjana has performed at the highest level in the sprint event and is part of a strong mixed relay team together with Finn Hosch.

It’s been continuous improvement, for both her and the program. Her fourth place in the sprint final in Bormio in 2026, just 3 seconds off the podium, feels more like growing awareness than a missed opportunity. In the coming seasons, the Bavarian will aim to leave behind her status as a relative unknown and become a contender on the main stages. Her clear determination is hidden only initially behind an innocent smile.

Tatjana never stops. When she’s not training on the trails, she divides her time between her studies in economics and sports, with the goal of becoming a teacher, and her activities with the German army sports group.

In the summer, she concentrates on vertical races, to maintain her racing mindset and focus on the trails. But she dedicates her summers above all to training for her winter goals.
