    To create superior comfort and performance, PrimaLoft® Gold Cross Core insulation has been enhanced with aerogel, a technology originally developed by NASA for use in aeronautics. Silica aerogel is highly porous and has a low-density structure that creates a thermal barrier, increasing the thermal power (clo) by 52% compared to normal PrimaLoft® Gold insulation of the same weight.
